The app NaziCrimesAtlas — Digital Atlas of Nazi Crimes makes Nazi crimes between 1933 and 1945 visible on an interactive map. It references the proceedings of German courts dealing with Nazi crimes after 1945 and supplements them with further sources.

What the app shows

The app shows not only well-known sites such as concentration camps but also everyday crime scenes — flats, town halls, schools, squares — where Nazi crimes took place. The aim is to make visible that Nazi crimes happened across the country and in plain sight.

Crime categories

The literature divides the crimes into established categories. The app offers:
